If you knew someone was neglecting or abusing their horses, who would you call? Which agency would handle horses or other livestock? Does the same agency that deals with cats/dogs also protect horses? I hadn't thought about this before so am curious.

It would depend on where in the world/country you are. In the USA I would probably go for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. In the UK I would go to the RSPCA-the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
There would likely be a similar society where ever you are. |

I am in the US so I had thought of the ASPCA but wasn't sure if they handled all types of animals. I don't know of anyone mistreating their animals right now but have in the past. I have reported abuse of cats and dogs before as I can't abide cruelty.

I'm in Canada and it's the SPCA. I think it's the same in the US. I watch animal cops on animal planet and it's the ASPCA that seems to care for all animals. I also like that they have policing powers out there. Here the actual police need to be involved in any arrests or warrants.

There is the ASPCA as well as the sheriff I believe in the US. The animal control officer at the local police department may also be of help, it depends on your location and how things are set up. If the person abusing animals is involved in a breed club such as AKC, etc you can also call the club to do an inspection or pressure the person. The local vet can also be alerted to check carefully when/if they bring an animal in.
