What to use?

What do I use to wash horses? Is it like washing a baby or a dog? How is it different? What type of shampoo is used? Can anyone recommend a brand?

There are many types out on the market, what type of horse do you have, and how dirty does he or she get? Also, I dont think its anything as easy as cleaning a dog or baby, more tricky with the size of the animal involved here.

You've never washed my dog then LOL. She's a lab that's deathly afraid of water.
There are special horse shampoos on the market that can be used. Just use a sponge and wash like you were washing a car. Lather up and rinse. Stay away from the head and rear end.
I don't know what one would do in the winter without a heated barn though.
