What Kind of Socks?
What kind of socks do you wear with your riding boots? Like the knee high type? I've struggled with my regular socks until I got a pair of fancy boot socks for the holidays. They are expensive though so I was hoping someone else has a way to use regular socks without them sliding/bunching.

I wear ropers when I ride, which are just above the ankle. I wear a wool sock that comes up about mid-calf. This system works well for me, and I never have problems with sliding. Have you tried wearing nylons under so they stick?

I always wear the regular long athletic socks. They come up a little higher than the op of the boot so I don't have problems with chaffing. I've never had a problem with the regular ones riding down and bunching up. Wool socks eventually stretch and ride down so I never wear them.

I've never thought about what socks to wear because I've always worn sneakers while riding. Now I find out that I should wear boots and the socks become an issue. I'm going to test the water by just tucking my pants into my boots to avoid the chaffing and hope my regular socks don't work their way to the toe of my boot while I'm riding.
