Wedding Parties
We were debating hiring a coach and horses for our wedding but we do have some concerns. How strictly trained are these horses? Is there any risk of them taking off just as we are climbing in? And what about pooping as they walk along-we don't want to leave a big mess outside of the church.

I would like to think that these horses have been well trained before they are hired for any type of event. I would be really worried if they were not and I would like to see some type of proof that they are before hiring them.

Just as with everything else, it varies. One would hope hat people only hire out very well trained animals, but heaven knows that its probably not true and every redneck with a "pretty" or "regal" looking horse tries to make a buck with this sort of thing. Its the reason you see so many bloopers on America's Funniest Home Videos. As with any wedding vendor you should be able to be furnished with places they have worked, possibly past clients or videos of a wedding with their animals.
As for pooping. have you ever watched a parade? They poop and normally have someone whose job it is to run about with a scooper and scoop it up. |

I have no idea who's job that would be, but it for sure would not be mine. I figure whom ever you hire to do the job to start with they will have someone who will take care of all those extras that come with the job.
