The Kentucky Derby

Has anyone been to the Kentucky Derby?

If you don't know what the Kentucky Derby is, it's an annual stakes race for three-year-old thoroughbred horses that is held in Louisville, Kentucky on the first Saturday in May, capping the two-week-long Kentucky Derby Festival.

My uncle has thought of going to check it out a few times, the only thing is though, it's quite a ways down, as well as he doesn't have a passport and a bunch of other things too.

I have heard about Kentucky Derby, but never been there. It is one of those famous Derbys around the world. I have been to the Durban July Derby in South Africa and Melbourne Derby in Australia.

They are all great gathering of great horses and horse owners. I really enjoy it.

I would love to go sometime! It has always been an idea in the back of my mind for a place to visit. Oddly, thinking about it now, almost ten years later, my mother still owes me money from a race many moons ago.

I've never been, but I watch the races on tv. I like it when there is a horse that has a chance to win the triple crown. I know it's tiring on the horse to run three races in such a short time, but it really makes it exciting when one has the chance to win all three.

I've never been to the Kentucky Derby. Although I do like horses and the such, there's just something inside me that doesn't push me to want to go to such an event like that. I don't know why, but it's not big enough for me. Dunno really why...
