Sunburn

It's just April 26th and I have my first sunburn of the year already. It wasn't even a hugely hot or sunny day, I am just as milky as they come.

Is the summer your friend or a time to hide from burns?

I burn like crazy

I have to be really careful as I have sensitive skin and I'm very fair. I try to keep a good sunblock on but even with that, I usually get at least one burn each summer. I don't even tan after like some people...usually just peel off and am just as white under the burn. I've always envied people who can get that lovely golden tan...sigh.

I tan easily but I got a sunburn already this spring too. Will I ever learn. I work indoors year round so I usually only get to work on a tan on the weekend. It is so hard not to spend too much time in the sun on that first warm weekend of the spring.

Yes, that is exactly me! I don't peel very often, but instead I go from bright red and blistered (occasionally) right back to white. Barely enough tan to even show a tan line.

Most of the time I use a high factor SPF, but it just seemed too early in the year.

Summer is definitely not my friend! Which is too bad because I love to spend time outside. I keep a bottle of sunscreen in my car, truck, house and in the barn and I always have to wear a hat.

I am about as pasty as they come. I'm half Ukrainian, and 1/4 Dutch, 1/4 Irish. So yeah, I have to hide from the sun all summer! I go through several bottles of sunscreen a year.

I don't burn too bad. I have 1/8 native Canadian blood so it takes a bit. But I still burn if I'm not careful. I just slather on the sunscreen, but a lower spf of like 15 or 20. I tend to forget to reapply it though.

Walking out and about I'm ok, but at the beach under the strong sun I burn. I must get better about sunscreen - I'm getting older and can't afford more wrinkles!
