Summer time

It will soon be summer time and I'm definitely not looking forward to the heat and insects. Of course I expect to be outside and with the horse a lot but do horses like the summertime?

I think they do. The flies and other insects probably irritate them too, but the warmth and sunshine is so much worth it. They get fresh grass, and time to frolic and play. It must be great.

Horse flies. Sigh. Bites that you can feel as they happen. Ugh. I am so not a summer person.

But yes the horses love it generally.

I would agree, horses are outdoor types (mostly) so being able to stay turned out all day and munch on grass all day is probably pretty good for them.

I don't know many animals that would not like the warmer weather, its always more fun than winter ick inst it? I don't like a ton of heat (Arizona 115% or anything) but having a nice sunny day always puts me in a good mood.
