Sporthorses and warmbloods?

So I've been searching around for a suitable horse to lease and have been running into a slew of "warmblood" and "sporthorse" listings. The only issue seems to be that they are just irregular crosses that used to be classified as crossbreeds and now have fancier names. Kind of like the "designer dog" craze. It used to be a mutt but now its a schnoodle. I was wondering if there were any registries or rules for these classifications or if its just a free for all for backyard breeders to get a couple more bucks for their mis-conformed animals? There seems to be alot of breeding for spots or crossing with drafts for some reason. This is mostly TB country here of you ride english and QH if you ride western so I don't really know anyone locally that can help me out.

Can you translate that for me? I understand the majority of your post, but not that part. Thanks!

As for tons of fancy names, for any animal I think its just a waste of time. I can understand if its a breed of something awesome you want to mix, but when you are just coming up with names like schnoodle, I think people start to lose the reason they became interested in the animal.

I don't think we need to brand everything with a specific name, not unless it calls for it, and having the newest popular breed just isn't my idea of a real reason.

TB for English riding=tall and leggy which presumably makes it better for jumping and such, QH for western riding=chunky and low necked. Pretty much the most broad stereotype for each show section you can imagine. If you don't show around here you'd best keep your horse in your backyard and never leave. Its very snobby at times.

I'm not even sure why the cross them as most get the worse traits from both parents and look like a walking train wreck. If they came out beautifully I could imagine it, but most are so unsound looking it hurts.
