Slight sickness

Has anyone here ever home treated a sick horse before? We have home remedies for humans, I just wondered if there were any for our horse friends.

There are lots of home remedies for horses. People and horses both didn't have qualified medical treatment available and its still pretty common to not have an equine vet nearby for many people. I imagine some treatments are more useful than others though, as our knowledge of animals has progressed alot.

Where would be a good place to shop for home remedies or over the counter, maybe if its something simple to treat a horse with? Is there something like a horse PetSmart type place?
