Shedding

Its almost fall and I dread the piles of fur as the new coat grows in almost as much as the bigger ones in the spring. Any tips for easing through the process?

I haven't found anything that eleviates the hair. Daily brushing is essential but that is a part of any horses daily routine or should be and doesn't stop the pile up of hare.

Brushing is all that we manage with too-for the cats too who also seem to suffer. We just make sure that brushing is never missed, and its not too bad.

I have noticed when brushing is missed of any animal it just leads to more frustration later. I worry if I would miss a time needed and then have to deal with more than really I want to, its always a pain.

We've clipped in the spring a couple times to help it from leaving uneven patches. A good shed blade is essential to help finish off a good grooming while shedding and really helps pull out the undercoat.
