Riding Other Animals Besides Horses
Have ever ridden an animal besides a horse? A camel or an elephant as long as it is doesn't look like a horse. How does it feel like and what is the difference between the ride with a horse and with that animal that you have ridden?

So camel hiss, I didn't know that. I thought only snakes do hiss.
About spitting, do they spit on people? Do the camel that you have ridden have humps too? I heard that some camels don't have humps. What I normally see are camels with humps. Another thing about camels is that you could drink the water from their humps, is this true? |

The 'water' that a camel stores is actually stored in it's blood. The hump is just fat, used as food when none can be had. So the camel really just over hydrates itself, but safely (without the risk of water toxicity).
I have ridden a camel and the lurching step was a little odd to get used to. But it was ok, not something I would actively seek out. |

I remember when we visited Thailand, I rode an elephant. It was fun, exciting but I was scared too. I was thinking what will happen if this animal gets wild while I'm at its back.
They smell like "ewww". They just piss and pooh while walking so sometimes they get to piss on their feet. But they are very gentle animals, I'm just not to confident to get near them because of their size. |

I also would like to ride a real life elephant, I only rode them in a carousel when I was a kid. I already tried riding at a back of a buffalo and they are very lame. A camel is also a nice experience to try although I heard a lot of negative comments about that animal.

In my case it was only the horse, but it was a different experince in all times. When I was a kid I would ride the horse with no saddle. Just on his back. Last year I rode with a saddle and all the normal stuff on it. It was more comfortable, that's for sure.
Never got the chance to ride anything else, but hope is not lost

Riding other animals!
In our stable there are two pigs (called "the girls"). Sometimes they let the smaller children ride for a few meters, it`s always verx funny and looks lovely. "The girls" are 7 yers now and very strong
