Recent or Up-and-Coming Shows
Has anyone out there competed in any horse shows recently? What type of competing do you do? Got pictures? Are any of you preparing for competitions that will be coming the near future?

Since its almost fall I've been preparing for the fairs (ending right around October) both shows and exhibitions. This year I am working on dressage, hunter/jumper flat classes and driving ponies (borrowed from a friend). Normally shows are early in the day and exhibitions of different disciplines are done the rest of the day.

I've been looking to go to a schooling show the next town over but I'm not sure as I'm not sure we're ready and gas prices seem to be going back up around here. I'd rather skip the show and get a new lead rope or saddle pad.

There is a Fall Festival of the Horse coming in October in a Suburb close to where I live. The Danada Equastrian Center holds the festival every year in Wheaton IL. I'm excited about it and I'm taking my son with my nieces and nephews. There's supposed to be 60 horses to display and face painting, pony rides... the whole thing!
