I really like Mustangs. The spirit they have and their tie with freedom and wildness is over-romanticized but still very true. They are such hardy beautiful creatures and they come ins such pretty colors as a result of their breeding.

In Romania we have a breed called Lipitan (big white horses). Absolutely nice looking. I also like those huge mountain horses, they are just great. And, since it would be hard for me to find a breed I like the most, I come and "crowd" my list with the famous Arabian horses. So beautiful

My favorite is the paint. I love the markings and the personality. I have always had an affinity for arabians too, mostly because of the black stallion books though. For the family though, I like a morgan. They're a little smaller, which is good for a short person like me.

The breed of horse that I dreamed of riding when I was a kid was Palominos. I have no idea where this got into my head. I don't even remember where I first saw. Might've been in a book I read. I just thought they were beautiful.

I do like Haflinger's like the post I just read before this one, and I have seen some Lipitan's but really hard to find decent information out there on them so anything you can help with would be great as thats the reason I am up late now trying to gather breed types for a report I am working on.

Morgans for me
I don't know if it's because that's the breed I grew up with or just because I like them but morgans have always been my favorite. Every one we've had through the years has been so smart - some were almost like people, I swear.

I love the Appaloosa. Each horse has a unique coat pattern. Altough they all have the leopard-spotting, each pattern is different and there are several different color combinations. I find them to be very intelligent and trustworthy. They are my favorite trail horse.

I have to say I adore a nice Belgian. I know they are big butted drafts, but they are so pretty with all their blond hair and so gentle and sweet. And you never know when you might have a use for a horse you can ride that can pull things.
