Problems between breeds

Do certain breeds have it in their genes to be stubborn or onry? I wonder if its all nature or nurture, like the same with children.

I don't think I've ever heard of a breed that was particularly stubborn or ornery, unless you count mules. I have heard of certain families that carry the temperament of the parents, particularly the dam, in the offspring. Since the dam teaches the foals socialization skills if she isn't friendly or willing the foal often learn they can be the same way.
