Alexis, I'm a pro photographer (I do portraiture, mostly children and families), and I have had a handful of clients request portraiture of their horses (because they know I'm a rider too). So while I've never had another photographer come take photos of my horse, I have done it for others!

I've never had a horse to have it done but I brought my champion show bunny for my senior portraits. He's not in all of them, but if I'd had a horse I would have brought him too.
I have taken horse portraits for senior pics for local students (its amazing how reluctant they are these days to accommodate students). It helps I'm a horse lover and know the angles they look good at. |

I am not the best when it comes to photos but I did recently get a new camera and found a place online that will blow them up for be good size, so I am thinking next time I am at the family's place I will take some shots and surprise them with a photo booklet.
Not a pro but its the thought that counts.

I've worked with a couple pro photographers at one of the stables I was at. Its fairly common for high school senior portraits or high level riders to get portraits done with their horses. Many shows have a photographer on hand to do them there, both with the ribbons/trophies/etc as well as candids. They can be really expensive for proofs and pages though.
