What is your number one pet peeve? You know, something that just really bothers you for no good reason at all!
I think mine is people who just can't seem to park inside the lines at the grocery store, mall, wherever! It's like they don't even care that they just took up 2 spaces or that they didn't leave me enough room to even get in my car!

I'll tell you what bugs me. When I am waiting to take a left turn across a line of traffic, and the opposing line of traffic gets a red light, and everyone just drives right up to the person in front of them and sits there. Couldn't someone have paused in front of me and waved me on to make my turn? It's not like I'm slowing them down; they're now sitting in front of me blocking me while they wait for their red light to change!

Cell phones. Not so much the phone but the silly ringtones, and the users who either don't know how, or care to, put their phones on vibrate in churches, movies or other public places. And when they answer the phone, they talk on the phone so loudly that I have to participate in the conversation whether I want to or not.

OldnGrey - when someone does that around me, I actually do participate in their conversation loudly. Yeah, it may be rude, but so is carrying on a cell conversation in a public area (if you ask me).

My pet peeve is probably pretty funny to you all, but it's getting musical composers mixed up. I'm a piano teacher and music director at the church. I hate it when I hear people talking about Mozart's Eroica or Handel's Canon in D. In my opinion it makes someone who is trying to look smart look even worse!

That is an odd pet peeve but then again you just might appreciate my Dad's sense of humor. We have a piano in our house that no one can really play. My Dad will tell anyone who makes the mistake of asking, that he can play a little Mozart. He will then go to the piano and play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with two fingers.

I totally understand the parking thing. My biggest peeve is related to that. We have spots designated for parents and babies (under a year) and mothers to be. They're close to the doors like the handicapped parking. How many times I've seen an able bodied non-parent/mom-to-be using those spots, is amazing. It gets really cold here in the winter, the equivelent of your -22 F. The spots help keep baby from getting too cold. Too bad they're always occupied.
