Party Ponies?

Has anyone ever hired a pony for a child's birthday party? I've been thinking of doing this for my daughter, who is obsessed with horses right now. I'd love to hear experiences if anyone has some.

Oh dear. I don't have experience but my neighbor did this, and there was a slight unforseen problem. I hope I can phrase this delicately. It was a male horse, which became more evident at a certain point during the party. This is something that never would have occurred to me, and I don't think the children necessarily noticed, but it was quite noticable to me and the other adults. It gave me pause for ever doing it myself.

Yes, that can be a problem, though I am sure that you could simply request that due to a previous embarrassment you would rather a female horse. Most places would rather fulfil your request than lose your money altogether.
