Paint horses

I have always loved paints. Their colors are beautiful and they have such personality. They ride well and are great with kids. Even dogs seem to take to them. Does anyone else love paints like I do?

I had a paint horse when I was younger. It was so pretty and also so calm. I miss her, I haven't thought about her in years. She was the nicest horse you ever would meet.

Hey Outie, I guess that you are a newcomer to horses like I am because I have never heard about paint horses before now, so I guess for me, I am in the right place. I'd love to hear some more about these horses though.

I don't know much about this breed either. Are they just painted or only look painted I am a wee bit confused now and its really weird since I have so many horse books. Is it possible to know this type by another name?

I like paints too. They're such wonderful horses.

In answer to the others questions, Paints have been around for almost 500 years, so not a new, or rare breed. They are sometimes referred to as pintos, but pinto is a color, and paint is a breed.

I frequent this site. It should explain for you. http://www.ansi.okstate.edu/breeds/horses/paint/
