I fell in love with them, when I was teased as a child from an older sibling telling me that one day I will get a pony. I never did needless to say, but the love for them still to this day amazes me. I don't live close enough to have my own, but I visit some places in the country when I can. A lady I met in my teens has an old style house built during the civil war times with more than enough land. I think the last count she told me that her farm housed about 15 or so, which is a ton, since its just her and her husband working the land. They open it up during warm months, and allow others to come out, learn more about the horse life, ride and so on. I think its a great way to get young mind to appreciate such wonderful animals. It still makes me grin each time I go to visit, there is one horse that no one can tame yet, and now he is just old and grumpy. So they nicked him grumpy man, I don't think I even know what his original name was we have all been calling him that for so long.
