Looking at getting a mustang

I''m sort of half looking at getting a new companion horse, mine passed on a few months back, and I'm intrigued with mustangs. I love the semi wild nature and the colors. I'm just wondering if they actually make a good pet. Are they too wild to properly domesticate? Or would they make a great riding pal?

Mustangs can make great riding horses, given proper training and effort. They are not easy to train and even professional trainers may not take them on based on the amount of time it may require. They tend to be hardy and well suited to a vast array of equine pursuits from roping to dressage.
