Land of Little Horses

We took a three year old niece to the Land of Little Horses this week. It was a wonderful introduction to horses and Llamas, and they put on some nice shows. The animals all seemed happy too and it was nice to be able to be so close to them.

Anyone else been there?

Where is that?

I have never heard of The Land of Little Horses but I bet it would be cool to visit. Where is it located? Is there any activities besides seeing horses and llamas or is it like a zoo for just those animals?

That sounds like something my little girls would like. We have a place near where we live, in Kentucky called Kentucky Down Under. It's an Australian theme park, with animals native to Australia and a cave you can tour. It's also got cows, sheep and goats with a little area where you can pet and feed the baby animals. It's quite cool.

That sounds like loads of fun. We pick pumpkins at a mini horse farm with a petting zoo every year. You can take the hay ride out to pick pumpkins then have cider and doughnuts and play with the animals.

It's at the border of PA/MD, tristate area pretty much. They were very much geared towards younger children, and yes they had some other animals there too, not just equines.

I need to start researching places like that local to me. The only ones I have seen are more adult oriented for those over 20 or so. Did it cost much?

Me too, Alexis

I haven't heard of anything in this area related to animals except for York Wild Animal Kingdom in Maine (a bit over an hour from here). That has all sorts of animals though. I'd like to find a place where I can tour a real working farm that has a good variety of animals.
