I have noticed that people always seem to have their stables set up in different ways. How is your setup? Is the horses water inside or is it outside? That kind of stuff

I have my horses water inside during the winter so that it will not freeze during the winter. I have their trough outside, near the doorway. But they usually prefer to graze the grass in the summer and spring

I have water troughs inside but use the hose to fill them each morning. There is also a big trough outside which I freshen every couple of days so it doesn't get stagnant. The stable itself is quite small - there is three stalls on the right side and then a small tack/storage room at the back. I have electricity hooked in for lighting but that's about it. It's rough but sturdy.

Most of the stables I've been to have water buckets that can be removed to be emptied/cleaned and filled daily with a hose. Outside troughs vary but most are set closest to the barn and a water source so they can be filled easily. The smaller ones had a feed room that doubled for tack storage, some of the bigger ones had separate rooms for both as well as a wash stall and possibly a lounge/observation room. Some have used a stall for storing shavings, some had them in bales in the hayloft with the hay.
