Horses in sprinkler

I set the sprinkler closer to the paddock today as that side of the lawn was getting yellow and brown with the heat the past few days. I looked out the window a bit later and the horses were playing in the water. Looked just like two kids taking turns running through the sprinkler. Just had to share as it gave me such a good laugh.

Haha, my puppy is the same way. we can't water the flowers without watering him as well or he gets upset and pouts. When its so hot out though you can't blame them. It always feels so good to have cool water on your skin.

You should have snapped some pictures as that would be some really good stuff to show around or even use as a greeting card for someone thats a horse lover.

I know

I wish I had a camera but my digital camera broke and I haven't had a chance to replace it yet. It would have been even better with a video but I don't have that kind of camera either. Would have made a great clip to post here.

That would be adorable to see. When I still visit my granpap his horses love playing in the water so as kids with water ballon fights the horses would sneak around on the farm and try to get in on the action too!

I have never seen horses playing in a sprinkler before, I bet that was something to see! Dogs and kids but never horses, although it stands to reason that horses would like to cool off too!

I had a friend when I was growing up who had horses. In the summer, when it was really hot they used to take the water hose and set it on a fine mist and spray the horses. Most of them loved it although they had one little Shetland who wanted no part of it.

Cute I'm sure, but I would hate to think how badly it tore up your lawn! I agree that it feels wonderful, but we destroyed our lawn last week with a kid's water slide!

Sounds adorable

I bet the horses had a blast playing in the water and why not? Most of us would enjoy it as well on a hot day. Gives you a nice double play there when you can water the lawn and make the horses feel good at the same time.

I agree, it's a wonderful way to get something done whilst not wasting the water that cools the horses down. I bet that they loved it, I know I would have.
