I have been wondering what age is it safe to allow a child to ride a horse unsupervised? Well, at least to let them ride without having me hovering around them?

I'm not sure - but I do know that I made a quilt last year for a little girl who was somewhere between the ages of 8 and 10, who was quite the little rider and ribbon winner for horse shows! Her mom ordered it from me and we added over 20 photos of this little girl with her horse - too cute!

Even an 8-10 year old I would be nervous on their own. I'd want to stay within sight and with a way to get to them fast in case something went wrong.
