The first and to this date ONLY horse I have owned. He had a long life at least, but he'll always be missed. He passed away this spring, and left me depressed for months. Hell, I am STILL depressed about the whole situation. Maybe i'll feel better once I get another horse, but there is no replacing Silver Bullet :(
That is very sad, one gets very emotionally attached to the horse, even my little daughter. I dare not think how she will feel if something happens to the horse...

Wow, sorry to hear about this Speed :(
Good luck to you on your next horse, although it is never easy to move on. Heres wishing for the best regardless.

Thanks for the support everyone, it really is appreciated. Although I try to move forward, it is very difficult. Even still, I am hoping to get another horse soon.

Aww man I'm sorry.
At least he's in a better place now, and I bet he enjoyed the time that he spent along with you as you did with him.
How have things been since then?

As you have said, you can never replace Silver Bullet and I think that is the hardest part in letting go of your horse. Although having a new horse will make your concentration be on the new horse, Silver Bullet will never leave your memory and you might compare him to the new horse.
Anyway, I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you all for the nice wishes, I do greatly appreciate them :)
The good news is, I am going to go looking for a new horse sometime over the next week. Of course, there will be no replacing Silver Bullet...but I still need to move on. Thank you again everyone.

I can't imagine how you feel, I lost a horse I loved as well, I didn't own her but it didn't make it any less sad. You sound like you loved Silver Bullet very much, life goes on but when you lose a loved one they're in your heart forever.
