I have tried shipping boots when I trailer my horse. I am not sure if they are worth it. Does anybody else have some experience with shipping boots? Do they work for you?

I have also tried shipping boots, but just end up getting dirty. The horse also gets hotter with them on. I do get scratches from shipping, but nothing really bad.

I'm not so sure shipping boots are really needed unless you are shipping more than one horse, especially if they are barefoot instead of shooed. You can just as easily put on polo wraps. They support about as much and probably stay on better if you know how to put them on right. And they come in prettier colors. Alot of people with fancy horses around here use shipping boots, but when your horse is worth more than your car I suppose you do what you can to protect your investment.
