Has anyone heard of this horse? It is rare, with about 150 of this breed of horse in North America and almost all of them in zoos. They are also known as Asiactic Wild Horse and is the last remaining wild species of horse.

I don't actually remember seeing any in zoos but I could be wrong. I have seen tons of them online for horse lover sites and also on TV but thats it mainly.

So does that mean the mustang is not really a wild horse? I'm going to have to do some research in this area, I guess, as this is totally new information to me.

Przewalski's Horse is believed to be the last remaining wild species of horse. I have read about these horses but have never seen one. With only 150 horses in North America, you would probably have to visit a larger zoo.

Mustangs are commonly referred to as wild horses but are actually descended from horses brought to North and South America by the Spaniards. They are actually feral horses which, by definition, is a horse that is untamed and free-roaming, descended from domesticated horses. A true "wild" horse is descended from horses that have never been domesticated.

I didn't realize that there was any horse that had never been domesticated at some point or another. I guess I have a lot to learn about the history of horses. Does anyone know why they hadn't been domesticated? Are they too wild to tame or just because they are so rare?

I think it might be a mix in between both the reasons you mentioned. If you cant find something you surely can not tame it, right? :)
