Alot of you seem to have children in your live interested in horses. One of the best ways to introduce them to horses as well as other children who love horses is through the Pony Club. They offer shows, educational competitions and much more. Children don't have to own a horse/pony as long as they have access to one for mounted meeting/shows. Older members assist the younger members in learning and horses and ponies are used. For more information you can use the following resources:
The Original Pony Club-based in the UK (http://www.pcuk.org/)
US Pony Club (http://www.ponyclub.org/)
Canadian Pony Club (www.canadianponyclub.org)
Irish Pony Club ( www.irishponyclub.ie)
Singapore Pony Club (www.freewebs.com/singapore_pony_club)

None in PEI. I wish there was. The closest clubs are in NB which is too far to drive to, and too costly. It's too bad. My girls would love it. I guess lessons will have to do for now.

You could always look into what it takes to create a local chapter. Surely with such a location as PEI there might be a need for its own chapter if there are enough girls and horses to have one?

Well look at that! I found one near my home in Naperville IL. That's awesome I've been meaning to take my son to something like this. He's young but he's a big horse fan so luckily this place exists. Thanks for the info.
