I was ordering from a website and when they called me back I realized they own several high profile URL catalog companies for animals. They are now situated out of Hazleton, PA. They own the following URLs:

www.countrysupply.com (connected to horse.com)

I was actually dealing with dog.com and when the supervisor called me back about an account problem she said she was calling from State Line, which no longer has a store where the original site was. They were bought out by Petsmart (which might be the same place that owns them now, I don't know) and now the location is owned by Dover Saddlery. I just thought it might be interesting for people who might order online/through catalogs to realize they might be using one service for many different orders.

Wow, I wonder how much buying those URLs cost? Thats quite the portfolio of nice URLs. I didn't realize State Line got bought, let alone possibly more than once. Thanks for sharing the information. Wonder if they will combine stuff from the different sites in one box? That would make shopping easy for all your pet needs.

I like knowing who I am truly buying things from, esp. online. Thanks for the quick update on that. I have been to both fish and dog.com before.

And when you are buying a site name like that, they prices can get really high, I am pretty sure they paid a good penny or two for them!
