If you never have, and are now going to have your first horse, ever......how hard is this? I don't mean the food, and providing good shelter. I am talking more like groom care. Do most new start out hiring someone for this or learn to do it their selves?

Tell you what, come on over and I let you pick up the poop and brush my horses out:D. In my opinion it is a good idea to start out in a stable. A good stable will have nice people that will help you start out. It is also a good way to meet new friends that will continue to guide you on your new horse venture. My offer still stands:rolleyes:

haha I think I can handle the poop and the brushing, its the other stuff I was thinking more about. Is it possible to be taught to tend to horses, not like a vet type schooling, but you know how when you go to adopt a cat or dog from a shelter and they set up classes, kind of along those lines is what I was thinking of.
