I was watching TV and they were showing the Kyrgyzstan horsemen. Very amazing stuff to see. They have competitions that show their horsemanship skills. I really enjoyed the Tyin Enmei where they run at a full gallop and reach down to pick up a coin from the ground. Very amazing to see. I would like to see this in person some day.

That sounds amazing. How tall are their horses? I can't imagine being able to reach a coin from the saddle, even on a pony. And to do so while galloping is just amazing.

These are full grown horses they ride. They live by horses and the use the championships to improve their riding skills and show who is the best. I have heard about picking up a coin in other cultures also. You would have to be very strong to reach down and the pull yourself back into the saddle. Plus you need to be a little crazy.

I have a feeling if I tried to reach anything from a horse back, the only thing I would end up reaching is the ground, with my face. They have to be amazing to pull something like that off. I wonder how much training is involved?
