How old was your horse when you first took ownership? Mine was already fully grown, an adult, and so I missed the leggy stage. I was reading a few days ago, a book to my daughter and it finally hit me that a foal's legs are almost as long as an adults. It's a very strange sight indeed.

I recieved my horse when she was 9 years old. I too missed the younger years. I have never actually had a foal. I always seem to adopt the older more calm natured ones.
