Well, since this is on my mind already (thanks partly to the other thread I just made) I felt like asking this. How many of you have subscribed to Horse related magazines currently, or in the past?

Personally I have been subscribed to Horse Illustrated for a number of years now, and I have yet to be let down. Although I have bought issues of other magazines, Horse Illustrated is the only one I have subscribed to so far. How about you folks?

I had a number of subscriptions when I was younger, but nothing recently. Occasionally I will buy a single magazine issue or book, and that's about it. Maybe things will change later.

That free subscription thing you posted in the other thread is pretty tempting, so I may go for that.

I have subscriptions to many magazines, including horse magazines. I put all the magazines in the bathroom, and I end up reading them all by the time the next shipment comes in.

I used to subscribe to Horse and Rider and Horse Illustrated for many years when I was in school. I normally got a subscription for Christmas each year. I also bought a couple issues of the baroque horse or something like that because the horses were absolutely beautiful.

I normally liked something that included articles on people in the industry, product reviews that weren't overly expensive, and training ideas and stories. Different things meant more chances there was something that would be useful every month. I hate buying a magazine only to not like anything in it.

At the store a few day's ago, I picked up a number of different
Horse Magazines, like 5 in all I think?

I read through a few already, and I may even subscribe to one or more of them. Money is tight though...but we'll see.

Hey, I haven't tried subscribing to one. Can you recommend the best magazine for horses? One that's very informative and I'll surely read from cover to cover? Thanks! :)

I have been trying to find a good magazine to start with, but I keep ending up with a ton of spam email instead. Any help would be great.

I've been thinking about it. My equine knowledge is sadly lacking, and I feel that I owe it to the horse that I am learning to ride to know a little bit more. I hadn't the foggiest which to get though, so just kept looking.

Any good suggestions as yet? I can't wait to have the names and immediately race to the store and grab a copy of the best one! :)

Horse Illustrated is one of the best Equine magazine that you could buy. But I think just by staying at this forum, you will learn a lot more because you could ask specific questions and you can have the answer to it sooner than in a magazine.

I've subscribed to either Horse and Rider or Horse Illustrated for years. They have lots of good articles, plus featured breeds, and product reviews. I normally get a year or two subscription at a time.

Can these magazines be available to be read in the internet? Because if so, I would just read them in the internet rather than subscribe to it. Some of you might want to collect it so you want the hard copy. But its just a personal preference to just read them in the internet, if possible.

Thanks for the suggestion ShortTail, I bet there's an online magazine somewhere that caters to horses and infos relating to it. It would be fun surely! :)

I have three, the first one my son got for me as a birthday present last go around. I try to stay on the look out for specials running. I like to read when I can, but online is so much quicker than waiting for something in the mail.
