As the title asks, how much time a day do you spend with your horse. I usually groom her and stay with her for 1-3 hours a day, sometimes more.

Nice thread!
Anyway for me, I spend anywhere from 2-5 hours every day with Turbo.
it all depends on how busy I am that day, but I always try to find some time.
What is a good amount of time to spend with a new horse? I know a horse can be a pet, but lets face it, you can feed a cat and walk away. I really don't think that would be the case with a horse. :) Since they seem to be more empathic than other animals, I think the more the better, so they can learn you and you can learn them, but this is coming from a non-horse owner too.

I spend 4 hours a day working for my neighbor caring for his horse. It's not all with her, sometimes I'm working around her, or she'll be out while I'm caring for her stall.

I do not spend enough time with my horse. I find that I am always getting home from work past dark and up at the crack of dawn. At home there are children and a husband waiting to be fed, laundry and homework and other chores to take care of.
So I pay someone to take care of her and spend the weekends with her.

I wish that I could spend 4 hours a day with my horse. On a standard day I am lucky to spend an hour cleaning their area. I do get to ride them a couple days a week. That nasty work thing keeps getting in the way.
