Does anyone know a good PC game that is related to horses? My foster daughter loves horses and I wanted to know if there is an online game somewhere that allows her to have a digital horse. She wants a game where she 'raises', 'rides' and goes to shows with the 'horse'. If not, do you know of any that are available for GameCube, Playstation 2, or XBox 360?

There are several available for the PC as well as one card game you can also play online. Barbie has horse games available on many consoles as well as the PC. There are also a couple TB racing games for different consoles. There is also Horsez/Horsez 2 for many consoles I just saw this weekend. Its a pet sim that allows you to pretend to own a horse from foal to adult. Bellasara.com is a card game you can play online by entering the codes off the cards. There are also online sim games, but many of them have very adult themes based on the average age of the players and I would not recommend playing without supervision.

I found another thread in here about Horse Games in PC. You can have a look on this thread and there is already an example on what kind of games you might want. Although the game is more on racing.

Thats impressive, the only one that slightly came to mind for me was Oregan Trail, and that isnt specific about horses, they just pull the wagons. I will need to look into the thread you mentioned. I have a niece that is all about horses, if you saw her room you would think cowgirl before anything else.

The first one that springs to mind is 'Horsez', I've seen it advertised for the playstation 2 and nintendo DS, so it's probably on a lot of different consoles.

BellaSara is a cute game. You get to feed your horse and groom it, and clean up after it. They come in pretty colors too, but you get a horse without entering any card codes so she could play for free if you can't find cards or don't want to buy any.

Thank you for all the great information. I bought my daughter "Horsez" for Christmas and I gave my daughter a packet of those BellaSara cards. Now she spends a lot of her time on her computer taking care of horses.

There are so many I couldn't even list them all. My daughter has Let's Ride, and plays the online game Howrse. She's getting a couple of decks of bella sara for christmas.
Just go into your staples or any other software place and you'll find a bunch. Take your pick. They're all good.

I didnt know of the games for horses before I checked it out here, as our local stores dont have them. So I have ordered Horzes on Amazons for my daughter.
I cant wait til she gets them, wonder who will play the most, me or her.....

One thing I find very frustrating is that very few horse games in the U.S are geared towards an older audience. Most of them seem made for girls, and young ones at that.
Why can't we see more games aimed at all horse lovers, and not just specific demographics?
I find it insulting personally, but our friends at the software publishers could care less how I feel! :(

I think the software developers forget about the demographic of women aged 20+, who no longer prefer their things pink and twinkly. It's a shame because it's quite a large demographic including stay-at-home mums who make the household's purchases and expecting women who could greatly enjoy a game that's not a violent shooter.
I've played the Harvest Moon games myself. There is a horse in it that you train and race, but it's mostly about farming other animals and crops, so the horse is only a small part.

Harvest Moon is an excellent series of course, but there needs to be more games specifically about horses that are not insulting to older audiences or men.
Maybe we should try to start some sort of petition for this, and send it to software companies?
