Horses are available in a wide variety of colors and sizes, much like cats and dogs are. However, just like with your dog or cat...some colors simply do not exist!
Can you imagine if a blue or green horse existed? Crazy to think about, huh?
Despite finding this concept interesting, I sincerely hope that no crazy scientist tries to make it a reality. Animal experimenting of any kind is cruel in my honest opinion.
Some horses are described as blue - blue roans for example. They are a mix of black and white hairs and do look a little bluish, but not the brilliant blue of a peacock.
I dunno a pink pony could be fun ;) However there are plenty of other ways to color your horse for a day as you can tell by going to a St. patty's day parade where there are green bedecked horses everywhere.

Have you done this before, is it hard? I always wondered if dye could be applied to animals, something safe you know, in case they licked themselves.

Those are some really amazing looking horses, if I could ever pick one that really stands out. The first picture, of course, was dyed.

I am not really sure about this second one though, any ideas?

I love the look of the dyed horses! Very fancy! I am not sure I would ever do it myself and of course the dye must be none toxic I guess, but very cute!
I agree with you Fanatic, animal experimenting is cruel. I think there are brands of dye just for dying animals. Does anyone think that human hair dye would be ok for horses?

The first picture obviously looks like a dyed horse, but the second one I am not entirely sure on.
Alexis, can you provide us to a link where you found that picture?
I am just wondering if there are any other pictures available of the same horse.
