I once knew a guy from my teen years, a friends father who was working to train a horse and the horse just took a bite out of the man's back. Anyone been bitten here? I have never been that un-lucky but I am sure it would not be a pleasant experience.
I've been bitten more than a few times by miniatures! Once or twice they even gave me a nip on the bum....... But nothing serious. It was never more than playful-a warning at most.

I had a Warmblood bite me once. Ornery mare I never liked before she bit me. That lesson was supposed to be my "treat" for surviving the first day of high school after having to move in the summer. The instructor's saddle was a bit small so we went to switch and put mine on and she tightened the girth, the mare bit me, and then she warned me her mare bites when being girthed. I had a huge bruise right above my knee for a month. People definitely talked to me though, lol.

I haven't been bitten, but I've been stepped on. Generally it's by accident when the horse shifts its weight as something uncomfortable happens, but that's what steel-capped boots are for!

When I was in junior high, I used to help out at a friend's farm. They had a small dairy farm but they also boarded horses which I helped take care of. There was one small mare that was just plain ornery! She used to nip for no apparent reason and my friend "forgot" to warn me. While I was brushing her out, she turned around and bit me on the shoulder. Left a heckuva bruise!
