I used to buy these treats that were hay cubes covered in sugar in flavors, but I haven't seen them in any of the tack catalogs I get recently. Does anyone remember these or know if they still make them?

I have not seen any for sugar, but I have seen some that come in a blend of other oats and the such. How long ago had you seen these? Google isn't giving up anything that I'm am trying.

Carrots are cheaper and easier to get. We buy the big ten pound bags for our own usage because it's cheaper that way. We don't use them up quite fast enough on our own table but all the animals love them so it isn't a problem.

Carrots may be cheaper but it takes remembering to have them. I've always been a fan of commercially produced treats that can be kept for long periods in a closed container. They don't spoil and you don't have to worry about not having any on hand because you forgot to stop at the green grocers.
