I found out a thing from my reading about the emotions or feelings of the horses.

A horse will respond to whatever the feelings you have because they are very sensitive animals and they know it when you are happy or upset. Never ride a horse when you are upset for it will also be upset. But when you are smiling when you are riding a horse then the horse would respond as happy too and that horse will be good for your lessons or rides.

I can completely understand where that is coming from. Suzy seems to always have an emotion similar to mine. Luckily, most of the time we're both really happy :D.

I think you should test that and let us know what you find out. Many animals are empathic, it does not surprise me in the least a horse would be. I know that most of the time I visit my friends horse (a mini Shep), the horse is just happy-go-lucky, and most of the time, minds to itself (avoids the other animals on the grounds). This is exactly how the owners are. :)
