For those out there that own or ride horses, do yours have any brands? I've spent most of my time with standadbreds and thorougbreds, which both have a different style of brand, but I haven't seen any other breeds which have brands too.

Alot of Warmbloods have brands, mostly relating to the stud book they are registered in or the breed. I rode alot of AQH when I was younger and got used to seeing ranch brands as opposed to breed brands.

Is there a site or list somewhere that explains about the different brands and what they mean? I imagine if you were able to read them they could give you some interesting information about the horse, like where it was born.
