The last time I went to the stable I saw that most of the horses had what looked like lightweight blankets on them. It makes sense of course, as it was getting cold. But I came to realise that this is another area that I know nothing about.
What temperature do horses normally cope with, outside and without blankets? When is it normal to start using blankets on them? Do you do anything to keep their legs warm?
And how many blankets do you use-are they different thickness's?
