Horse Names

I am not sure if i'm posting this in the right forum, but I don't know where else to put it. Anyway, how much thought do you put in your horse names? I personally think it's a very important part of having any pet, including horses. What do you think?

Oh yes, names can be a very important thing!

But you don't need rocket science to find a name you like. Just read a book, or watch a movie. You'll find something somewhere

It's interesting when you look at names in the newspaper, and then when you see names that people give their own horses as people have mentioned in other locations in the site. But in my opinion, the names in the newspaper aren't really "names" - they'd be more like nicknames...but still odd though. They're too long haha.

Yeah, there a lot of weird horse names out there. Personally, I prefer the names be short and simple. Most of the weird names seem confined to racing horses, but not always I guess

I think names are very important .I also think if you get a new foal before you name it you should wait and watch the foal and pick an appropriate name for its personility.
