Horse massage

I was at the barn and a fellow horse mommy was talking about a maseuse she was planning to get for her horse. Now, I love a good massage, why not my horse too? Any thoughts?

I would have just thought that with the horse skin being so thick and their muscles so much stronger than ours, would they even really feel it? It seems a little wasted to me.

Adelaide was right. Horses' do have thick hides so they might not really enjoy a massage. Better give them a brush, at least their skins will become shiny and clean. And this is my first time to hear a massage for a horse, I wonder who would do it?

Wouldn't brushing them be the same as massaging? the brush could relax them the same way. But I think, if the person is trained, they probably know how to get through the thick skin to do the massage.

Can't imagine

I know my horses seem to enjoy being groomed and I imagine that it might feel to them what a massage would feel like to us. I can't picture myself paying someone to come do this, though. Sounds like another example of scam artists playing on rich people's love of their animals to me.
