Horse Halloween Costumes

I just heard about horse halloween costumes. I am usually against putting any type of clothing on a pet. Do you put halloween costumes on your horse?

I've done quite a few costumes for fun shows. We've done a "flower" where we put green polo wraps on the horse's legs and made a petal band to wrap around their neck. We've done the unicorn thing by making a horn that attached to their browband. We made them "devil ponies" one year with horns and a red pointed tail. We also put santa hats on them at Christmas too.

I don't really think of the unicorn as an actual costume, I think of it more as neat . But then again, does it provide discomfort to the horse?

We tend to see lots of hula costumes in parades here, or just lots and lots of leis. Some horses seem to not mind at all, while some get really cranky or try to eat the leis. I imagine its a matter of training and conditioning them to behave properly. Kind of like wearing your Sunday best when the shoes are too tight and the dress is itchy velvet.
