Hello, besides becoming a vet I draw pet portraits if I can find the time.
Techniques available are coloured pencil, graphite, charcoal and pastels, on special occasions and suitable reference pictures also watercolours.

Here are some examples:

Greets, Merlin

Coloured Pencil

Graphite

Charcoal

Pastels

and watercolour

wow! You do such amazing work. Do you usually work from photos? What's your turn around time? I think these would make wonderful gifts... I wish I'd known before the holidays.

Those are simply brilliant. I'll bet those take forever. I know I tend to only have time to do sketches but I remember doing pencil portraits for art class and it used to make me want to go insane before I was done.

Merlin, those sketches are really good. I'm no horse but I'm my wife's pet...can I pose for you? Those look better than some pics I have of myself.

How long did it take you to work on the Charcoal one? That has to be my favorite, but they are all amazing. I wish I had talent like that, I cant even draw a straight line!
