Health And Safety

Is there anything I should know before hand regarding my daughter's health from being in the stables? Are there any risks from mucking out horse poop-parasites or things like that, that I would need to be on the look out for?

This I can not be more help on other than don't let her play in the yuck or anything. Does she have anything that might make it harder to breathe for her there like allergies or asthma?

Just be there and carefully watch over her for anything that she might get hurt. I'm not sure why your daughter wants to be inside a stable but if I were you, I would rather let the horse out on the fields and then let my daughter play with the horse, as long as I am controlling the horse.

Don't let her play among the poop and stuff like that. Make sure that she isn't allergic to hay and other such items. Unless the horse is really gentle i wouldn't let her play around the horses.

As a part of the Pony Club they have to learn to muck out. In fact they are not allowed to ride the horses until they have learned the care of the horses. So she will indeed be around the poop.
