Hackamores
I saw something different today and was curious about it. When I had my lesson, someone had a horse with what they called a hackamore on it. I've not heard of or seen this, just the use of bits-so what is this and why is it used?

A hackamore is another word for bitless bridle. It is used because some people don't like the idea of bits and it can be just as useful as a bridle with a bit. There's another thread about it here:
