While perusing May's edition of Horse Illustrated I was taken aback to read an article about a unique way to battle panty lines under riding breeches. Forget microfiber no-line panties or padded briefs, the newest product is called Commandos. Commandos are an adhesive pad you stick to the inside seam of your pants. Brings a new shade to the word tacky, don't you think?

I love them!
A friend recommended the commandos a while ago. I thought it sounded disgusting at first but she swore by them. I ordered a pair to try off of the gocommandos website and I absolutely love them. I wear them when I'm riding and when I'm not. I guess the purpose of underwear is for the cotton crotch and these give you that without the rest. It is more comfortable than any panties or thongs I have ever tried. No panty lines and nothing digging in. I know it sounds weird but they are really awesome!!! |

I find them a tad disturbing myself. Hanes makes lovely no-lines microfiber panties in a couple different cuts. Never had an issue wearing fuller cut undies when riding or working out. I'd think a thong or g-string would be potentially painful. |

I think these commandos are going to be stocking stuffers this year to see what some prank friends of mine think about it. It seems a little weird but I guess we shouldn't really knock it unless we try it, but I'm not volunteering.

No, I'm not going to be trying them any time soon but since I haven't tried them yet, I can't really say that they would be uncomfortable. I have to be honest though, I don't worry about pantylines for riding a horse anymore than I do just walking around.

This is a funny discussion! I would think that if I were riding, especially in a competition, the focus would be more on my riding abilities and my horse than my pantylines. But hey, if they make the person wearing them more self confident, then why not?
