Flies And Horses

I know I am not the only one to experience this, but it seems like flies are drawn to horses like they are drawn to waste. Are the flies harmful to horses, and is there any way to prevent flies from getting to the horse.

Flies can be harmful if they get out of control. A Horse Fly can bite a horse and draw blood. A Bot Fly lays eggs in the fur.

You can use fly spray to repel flies. You can use fly masks to keep the flies out of their eyes. Also, keep the area clean and that should reduce the amount of flies. I wish I could eliminate all flies, but it is something that is impossible.
