FAA & Animals

Lately, I have been thinking back to all the county fairs that the FAA does for all live stock, to teach young kids about the animals, how they are breed, taken care of, etc. This is the first way I was face to face with a horse, and a couple other animals too. Do any of you have this in your area?

I believe you might mean FFA, or Future Farmers Of America. They are in my area but, 4-H seems more in grained here. The 4-H puts on many horse shows and during the county fair they have judging for many classes.

Yes I did, thanks for the correction. See what happens when I try to multitask late into the evening?

I know that 4H is in some parts, but not all, I figured that FFA would be spread through all states (since alot of it is taught in Vocational Schools), and 4H from what I know is more of a scout type of gathering, is that correct? Besides these two, are you aware of any others? I have some friends stuck in new states resided too, and want to get into this type of thing with their kids, but no such luck.

I have been going to quite a few 4-H fairs which had horses, among other animals.

They are always a lot of fun to go to, and seeing the horses etc.

It's been over a year since I last went to one however
